I went for the first time last night (10/27/2023) and loved it. We went super early at 4pm before a dinner reservation elsewhere and had the best time getting to know the bartenders. They were funny and causal and inclusive. The Two Cousins, One Bed was fantastic! They even put up with my romance novel jokes. We will 100% be going back! I’m glad it’s so close to work.

Came here for a birthday party and had a great time. Good DJ, and inside has a ski/hunting lodge feel. Ample space on patio--very laid back--there were even heaters for the cool noghts. Good crowd-- old enough to be out of college, young enough to enjoy a bar, DJ, and lights. 5 stars.

I come here on and off and always regret that I don't make it out here more often. Ted is a fantastic and talented bartender and is incredible at showing hospitality (which is rare to find in Austin these days). Music is always on point, drinks are delicious and affordable, and the regulars are some of my favorite people to share a beer with after a long day at work. Can't recommend enough to anyone looking to visit from out of town, or someone looking to find their new neighborhood spot.

Funky new cocktail bar with an excellent drink selection. I tried the Jesus Saves cocktail and really enjoyed it and would order it again. I also had the michelada, served with a Coronita and piece of chicharron garnish. They have a beer list available with a couple of my local favorites like: Liveoak Hefeweizen, St. Elmo's Brewery, Blue Owl, Austin Beerworks. The entire bar has a very colorful rustic vibe; maximalist style. There is no food options available, so this is a great place for drinks but not for dinner. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of their cocktails.

When I say I love dive bars I love dive bars and this bar ranks very high on my list because of the friendly bartender and the chill atmosphere and vibe, even my girl who's not really into dive bars loved this place so their doing something right

It’s silly how much I adore this spot! If you’re looking for a true down to earth Austin bar, this is it. No egos, great cocktails, and insane design. Bravo, Bear Hug Hospitality.
